The Landlady

In class we just read “the Landlady” by Roald Dahl, and we where asked to write about it.

Roald Dahl is a norwegian-british author. He was born in 1916, and died in 1990. “The landlady” is a short story he has written. It has all the elements of a shortstory, such as it contains few caracters and  the story takes place within a short period of time.

“The landlady” is about a Young man who travels in England to do business. Along the way, he catches sight of a bed and breakfast sign, and at this b&b is were it all happens. The host at the b&b seems lovely and she is very welcoming and entusiastic but she is not that nice after all..

Now we have watched the film “The Landlady”, and we are going to compare the film and the short story.

In the film things where more obvious, but in the short story you had to read between the lines to understand the actuall massage.

Over all it`s a great short story, and i enjoyed reading and wathcing it.
